Sharing Stories of Grief and Resilience
When we open up about our own journeys of grief, we create a space for others to do the same, fostering a sense of community and understanding. These shared stories remind us that we are not alone in our pain and that there is strength in vulnerability. They teach us that even in the darkest moments, there is a glimmer of hope and the possibility of healing.
Sina Compton
Sina was born and raised in Germany. She met her late husband, CW02 Eric D. Compton in 2003 and they were married in 2005 after he returned from his first Iraq deployment. They have 4 children, 3 boys and one girl, who were born while Eric served in the Marine Corps. As a family they lived in California, Texas and Hawaii.
After multiple deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, Eric was diagnosed with PTSD, and fought these demons for many years before he committed suicide on July 27th, 2019.
Since then, Sina has dedicated herself to supporting her children through their grief journey, while also addressing her own mental health and grief. Through her own experiences, she has developed a deep passion for sharing her story and raising awareness about the impact of mental health and PTSD on service members and their families after deployments.
Customer Reviews
"When Sina begins speaking, the audience is immediately drawn in, and a respectful silence blankets the room. She speaks from the heart, openly and genuinely, and listeners feel deeply as she tells her story. Sina is able to balance her speeches because she is charismatic, and inspires, motivates, and lifts the mood of the room."
I am grateful for Sina's vulnerability and willingness to share her journey. Her words have brought comfort and inspiration to so many.
